Land Protection
We may talk about a region we visit online, but we will not put up names of specific towns or beaches. Many places we visit are wild and pristine and are best protected. With social media today, destinations can quickly go viral and receive an influx of visitors. This can negatively impact the land, wildlife, and communities.

Limited Reoccurring Visits
We do not do many reoccurring visits throughout the year to the same destinations. This is so communities still focus on other streams of income and don’t become too reliant on our visits. This helps ensure local communities do not suffer In the event of a pandemic, or other catastrophic event where the tourism industry shrinks.
Meet Your Guide
Our founder and expedition guide Tanin Kayvan spent years traveling to places where few would venture. She stayed with over 100 families in cultures around the world, which led to experiences like migrating with nomadic families, attending lesser-known cultural events, and having surreal wildlife encounters. After being asked numerous times how she was able have these experiences, she founded Rise & Roam to give others the same unforgettable adventures. The families we work with on our expeditions are those that Tanin has personally stayed with on her journey.
